The honest bit
What counts as a monthly active user?
A monthly active user is a person who authenticates at least once during the billing month. We deduplicate across every sign-in method — password, passkey, Google, SAML — so the same human is counted once, never per credential.
- Test and development users are free — they never count toward your MAU.
- No live per-user meter. Your bill is a flat bracket you can read off in advance.
- No proration games. Change plans and the next monthly invoice simply reflects the new flat price.
